TradeSprint Clock demurrage & detention figures are estimates computed from carriers’ published tariffs, including the 7.5% VAT applicable on those charges. The clock starts from the container’s gate-out date, or the discharge date when it has not yet gated out. These figures are estimates for planning only — they are not invoices, and the amount your carrier or terminal bills may differ. TradeSprint Clock is designed to track containers after customs release; it does not track customs clearance or duty assessment. Where a carrier does not publish a rate for a size, the last free day is taken from the delivery order you provide and only a day count is shown.
TradeSprint is independent and privately operated. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or representing any shipping carrier (including Maersk, MSC, CMA CGM or Hapag-Lloyd), any terminal or port operator, or any government agency. Carrier and terminal names are used only to identify the published tariffs an estimate is based on.
